Franziska Fischer (journalist)

Franziska Fischer (born August 2, 1968 in Göttingen ) is a German television journalist and works as an editor and presenter for ZDF .

Career

Franziska Fischer, born 1968 in Göttingen, studied theater studies and journalism in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin and completed several internships at newspaper editorial offices and TV stations. At the SFB (today's RBB) she started as a reporter for the radio station 88 8 and the Berliner Abendschau . She then moved to the newsroom of Deutsche Welle (DW), where she made her first experience in moderation. In 2002 she went to Brussels as a correspondent for three years in the Europa-Studio of Deutsche Welle, where she reported on the enlargement of the EU and also moderated the magazine Europa Aktuell .

At the beginning of 2009, Fischer switched completely to ZDF and since October 2009 she has also been the presenter of ZDF-heute-Nachrichten and replaces Anja Charlet at midday . Since summer 2010 it has also occasionally presented the program heute - in Germany , the weekend editions of heute news and the Sunday morning edition .
