Franciscan Sisters of Renewal

The Catholic Women's Order of the Franciscans of Renewal is the female branch of the Franciscans of Renewal .

The community was founded in 1988 and is under the Archbishop of New York . There are three convents in New York City and others in Leeds , Drogheda and Atlantic City, New Jersey . The sisters maintain facilities for the needy (such as soup kitchens and clothing stores), are active in youth ministry and offer retreats .

The Franciscan Sisters wear a gray dress with rope and a black veil.
