Ms. Kraushaar (* 1975 , actually Silvia Berger ) is a Hamburg artist and musician .

biography

Silvia Berger studied at the University of Fine Arts a . a. with the Fluxus artist Claus Böhmler , the filmmaker Werner Nekes and Michaela Melian from the band FSK. She released her first album Le Salon is very Morbidä in 2010 as part of her diploma. Various media reported on their first record as a "Dadaist" electronic record with radio play character. With this record she moved between art, music and performance.

Her first attempts at walking began in Hamburg-St. Pauli 2002 in the Meanie Bar / Molotow, where she curated a Monday club for five years with a program alternating between art and music and determined the records and program together with DJ Mauru. She then worked with various artists, such as Melissa Logan from Chicks on Speed or Jacques Palminger from the artist trio Studio Braun . The latter published musical contributions by Ms. Kraushaar on the albums Songs for Joy and Songs for Joy 2 .

In June 2012 her second record was released on the star label Materie Records with the title The Power of Appropriation . In contrast to her first work, Ms. Kraushaar dealt with neo-folklore and pop chanson in her second publication and moves in the field of tension between song, art and theory. She sings songs in eight languages. Carsten Meyer (Erobique) and Jacques Palminger played the piano and drums. In the title of the record she refers to the conceptual art of appropriation ( Appropriation Art ). The musician Lutz Nikolaus Kratzer from the band Klein produced their record in his studio.

With Nova Huta she released the song Reggea Healing for Bayerischer Rundfunk on a tribute compilation for Gustav Metzger . With the Berlin musician Namosh she recorded a song dedicated to Romy Schneider entitled Romy , which was published on her first record.

As a visual artist she has already published short films on the DVD label Raum für Projektionen and shown her work at various festivals, e. B. at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen . The Goethe-Institut has already invited her to Athens and New York twice to present her “German Performance Music Art”.

At the Deutsches Schauspielhaus , Kampnagel and in the Sophiensaele in Berlin, she regularly shows performances that range between language, visual arts and music. She also works as a DJ and plays mainly in the Golden Pudel Club and Golem in her hometown .
