The Frauensee is a lake southeast of Gräbendorf and west of Prieros in the municipality of Heidesee in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .

geography

The lake is fed by groundwater and had an outflow towards Dolgensee . In the 1980s, this drain was closed by the forestry department because the lake's water level had sunk.

ecology

The lake is located in the Dahme-Heideseen nature park .

Leisure and Tourism

Not far from the lake is the "House of the Forest" in Gräbendorf .
In 1950 the foundation stone for a children's holiday camp was laid on the north bank of the Frauensee , the former Piomier tent camp " MJ Kalinin ". The children's and youth recreation center (KiEZ) Frauensee is now located there . It has an overnight capacity of 850 beds and has an area of ​​24 hectares. The Floriansdorf KiEZ Frauensee was inaugurated here on October 3, 2014 .
