The Frauensee is an approx. 3 ha (other sources 2.1 ha) large lake in the Tyrolean district of Reutte . It is located at an altitude of 972 meters in the area of ​​the municipality of Lechaschau at the eastern foot of the Gehrenspitze in the Tannheimer mountains . In summer it reaches an average temperature of 21 ° C and is used as a bathing lake.

It is also the starting point for many hikes, for example over the Hahle to the Musauer Alm or the Costaries Chapel. From Lechaschau, about two kilometers to the south, the lake can be accessed by a road. The Frauensee is a private lake that is released for public use.

You can find carp and trout in the lake . On the lakeshore is the Frauenseestube, as well as the leisure and training center of the Munich educational campaign.
