Fred Angermayer
Fred Antoine Angermayer (born December 7, 1889 in Mauthausen , † July 21, 1951 in Linz ) was an Austro-German writer , playwright and screenwriter .
Life
He was the son of the innkeeper Julius Angermayer and his wife Anna nee Frank. After attending elementary school and high school, a longer stay in England and France and several trips around the world followed. Then Fred Angermayer took part in the Austrian army in the First World War. After returning from the war, he worked as a playwright in Brno in the newly founded Czechoslovakia . In 1921 he became a freelance writer. As such, he settled in Berlin-Charlottenburg . He also worked as a translator from French. At the end of his life he moved to Linz, where he died in 1951.
He was a member of the Reich Association of German Writers and the PEN Club . By Joseph Goebbels , he was in the circle of poets of the Empire alliance to promote the open-air theater called.

Since 1914 he was married to Olly (Olga) born Lutz, the daughter of a master craftsman.
