Fred Gabourie

Fred Gabourie (born September 19, 1881 in Ontario Canada , † March 1, 1951 in Los Angeles , USA ) was a Canadian film architect .

Life

Born and raised in Canada, he was trained as an artist around the turn of the century. After various occupations, he came to Hollywood as a production designer after the end of the First World War . There he often worked for Buster Keaton . At the end of the silent film era, he switched from active scene construction to MGM site management, where he took over the supervision.
