Fred Halsted
Fred Charles Halsted (born July 20, 1941 in Long Beach , California , † May 9, 1989 in Dana Point , California) was an American porn actor and director .
Because of his experimental and disturbing films, Halsted held an exceptional position in the porn industry and was revered by artists such as William S. Burroughs and Salvador Dalí . The Sex Garage , LA Plays Itself and Sextool are in the film collection of the Museum of Modern Art . The uncut version of LA Plays Itself also shows the first fisting scene in a porn film. In 1989 he committed suicide.
