Frederick John "Fred" Walker (born 3rd quarter 1884 in Barrow-in-Furness , Lancashire ) was an English football player , player- coach and football coach who played for Leeds City and Huddersfield Town . He was mainly used in defense. At Huddersfield he held the post of player-coach for two years between 1908 and 1910. To date, Walker is the only player-coach in Huddersfield history. In 1912 he worked as a coach at 1. FC Nürnberg .
