Fred Warngård

Fred Warngård ( Oskar Alfred Daniel Warngård ; born May 9, 1907 in Västra Ingelstad , Skåne län ; † May 23, 1950 in Malmö ) was a Swedish hammer thrower .

At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he won the bronze medal behind the two Germans Karl Hein (56.49 m) and Erwin Blask (55.04 m) with his personal best of 54.83 m .

In 1936 and 1938 he was the Swedish champion in hammer throw, in 1936 and 1939 in weight throwing . He was also the British hammer throw master in 1935.
