Frederick William Edwin "Freddie" Tomlins (born August 4, 1919 in Lambeth , London , United Kingdom , † June 20, 1943 over the English Channel ) was a British figure skater who started in a single run .

Tomlins was both Vice European Champion and Vice World Champion in 1939 , both times behind compatriot Graham Sharp . He took part in the Olympic Games in 1936 and finished them in tenth place.

Tomlins served in the Royal Air Force during World War II . In the fight against a German submarine , he lost his life on June 20, 1943 over the English Channel .
