Freddy Castillo
Freddy Castillo (* 15. June 1955 in Merida , Mexico ) is a former Mexican boxer in the Fly and light flyweight .
Professional career
On February 19, 1978 he boxed the light flyweight against Luis Estaba for the WBC World Championship and won by technical knockout in round 14. However, he lost this belt in his first title defense in May of the same year to Netrnoi Sor Vorasingh on points.
On July 24, 1982, he also won this belt in the flyweight division when he beat Prudencio Cardona by unanimous decision on points. Also this time he lost the belt in his first title defense in November of the same year against Eleoncio Mercedes by a split judge's decision.
