Freddy Koch
Freddy Koch (born March 21, 1916 in Copenhagen , † August 10, 1980 in Denmark ) was a Danish film and theater actor and theater director .
biography
Freddy Koch was the son of Karl Koch († 1943) and his wife Oda Douwe Egberts († 1938) and grew up in Copenhagen. After graduating from high school, he completed an acting training at the Det Kongelige Teater school and was then employed at various private theaters. He then worked for over thirty years at the Folketeatret , where he later also worked as a theater director. From 1971 he was rector of the Aarhus Teaterskole and from 1976 worked at the Aalborg Theater . Koch was active as a stage actor and director until his death. He has also worked as a film actor in several film and television series . Among other things, he had several appearances in the Danish film series of the Olsen Gang . He also played in the Norwegian Olsen Gang in Olsenbandens siste bedrifter , a remake of the film The (presumably) last prank of the Olsen Gang , the same role as Swiss liaison, Mr. Ziegelhofer again.
Private
From 1953 Koch lived with the Danish actress Birgitte Federspiel for several years . After his death he was buried in Tibirke Kirkegård (Tibirke Cemetery) in Tisvilde on Zealand ( Nordsjælland ).
