Frederik Dag Arfst Paulsen (born October 30, 1950 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish chemist, business economist and owner as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the pharmaceutical company Ferring founded by his father Frederik Paulsen .

Frederik Paulsen studied chemistry at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and the University of Lund as well as business administration at the University of Lund. In 1988 he took over the family business Ferring from his father, which at the time generated sales of 15 million Swiss francs . In 1995 he founded the Editions Paulsen publishing house , which publishes books about adventure. Today he ranks among the 300 richest Swiss with an estimated CHF 2.75 billion in assets. He has meanwhile given up operational management at the company; he is a multiple patron of science; Among other things, he financed the new polar institute at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and an Antarctic expedition. Frederik Paulsen is a second marriage and has five children. Since 2009 he has been the Russian honorary consul in Lausanne . After it became known that he had supported the French-speaking Swiss Council of States Géraldine Savary ( SP ) several times in the election campaign, she announced that she would not stand for re-election in 2019.
