Fredrik Emvall (born June 28, 1976 in Väckelsång ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player and current official who has been under contract as sports director at Linköpings HC in Svenska Hockeyligan since 2014 .
Career
Fredrik Emvall began his career as a hockey player at Tingsryds AIF , for whose first team he made his debut in the then third-rate Division 2 in the 1992/93 season . With Tingsryds, he immediately rose to Division 1 , in which he and his team were active until 1999. The attacker then moved to Linköpings HC in the Elitserien , with whom he reached the finals of the Swedish championship in 2007 and 2008. Both times, however, the team lost - first to MODO Hockey Örnsköldsvik and then to HV 71 Jönköping . In the 2008/09 season , the 2006 world champion was on the ice in three of the four games in the group stage of his team in the newly formed Champions Hockey League , in which he gave a template. Following the 2009/10 season , he ended his career.
Since the 2014/15 season Emvall is as sporting director employed by Linköpings.
International
For Sweden Emvall took part in the 2006 and 2007 World Championships .
