Fred's Pass

Fred's Pass is a rural community on the outskirts of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. The parish belongs to the Litchfield Municipality . Their name goes back to a gap in the Daly Ranges through which Fred's Pass Road ran, a road that later became part of the Stuart Highway . The name was given to it by the surveyor William Patrick Auld in honor of the explorer Frederick Henry Litchfield (called Fred).
