Freek Michel (born January 14, 1987 in Haarlem ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Michel comes from a volleyball family; his mother and siblings were already active in this sport. The former junior international played for Landstede Zwolle in 2004/05 before moving to HVA Amsterdam . In 2010 the diagonal attacker came to Rivium Rotterdam and became Dutch champions in his first season. He was then signed by the German Bundesliga club TV Rottenburg . However, he had to wait for his debut in Germany due to a herniated disc . In 2012 he moved back to Dynamo Apeldoorn, his home in the Netherlands .
