In Paris , five Statue of Liberty , up to their different sizes of the Statue of Liberty in New York the same.

In the Musée des arts et métiers (Museum of Arts and Professions) is the model from 1875 for the New York version, designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and given to the United States of America as a gift for independence in 1886.

Statue of Liberty in the Jardin du Luxembourg (until 2012)

Another three-meter-high model of the Statue of Liberty, which Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi created for the 1900 World Exhibition, stood in the Jardin du Luxembourg from 1906 to June 2012 and was then moved to the Musée d'Orsay , where it has been at the beginning of the sculpture exhibition in the Main hall can be seen. A copy of this Statue of Liberty has been in the Jardin du Luxembourg again since July 2013 .

At the western end of the Île aux Cygnes , a narrow, man-made dam in the Seine near the Eiffel Tower , stands a 11.50 meter high copy that was given to the city by American citizens living in Paris in 1889. It is set up so that it looks in the direction in which its bigger sister stands in New York Harbor.

A fifth statue of liberty is on the bow of a boat that is moored not far from the Eiffel Tower on the right bank of the Seine.
