The Klockenhagen open-air museum is located in the Vorpommern-Rügen district , in the Ribnitz-Damgarten district of Klockenhagen between Ribnitz and Graal-Müritz . The museum represents a six hectare “village within a village”. The aim of the museum is to make life in Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania villages of the last three centuries visible and tangible. For this purpose, historical buildings in 18 villages in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania were dismantled and rebuilt and renovated here. There are showrooms and exhibition rooms in the buildings, gardens are laid out and pets are kept.
