The interior of the church in Rostocker-Wulfshagen

The village church in Rostocker Wulfshagen is a church building in Rostocker Wulfshagen in the Mecklenburg part of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The church belongs to the parish of St. Marien in Ribnitz in the Rostock provost in the Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany ( Northern Church ).

The church building was erected after 1318. The exterior is a field and brick building with a polygonal east end, probably from the 15th century, and was later changed several times. During the renovation in 1825 under Carl Theodor Severin , the tower and sacristy were demolished and the west gable was renewed. The new portal was very narrow and integrated into this gable in the neo-Gothic style. The interior of the church has a flat roof. The medieval wall painting in the chancel has been restored. It contains twelve consecration crosses . The three-winged carved altar on the side is a late Gothic work from around 1500. It depicts the crucifixion group and the apostles , but is only partially preserved. The organ was built by Christian Börger from Rostock . The bench stalls come from the second half of the 19th century. In the windows of the chancel there are nine cabinet panes with coats of arms, which testify to the restoration of the church after the Thirty Years' War by Rostock dignitaries. Ten panes with quotations from the Bible decorate the windows of the church. A votive ship hangs from the ceiling of the church , a brig with a black hull from 1861. The bell cage is made of wood and is free-standing in the churchyard .

Two benches of the stalls are now in the nave of the former Dargelütz village church , which was rebuilt in the Klockenhagen open-air museum . They also served the museum as a template for replicas to complete the interior.
