The Fremantle Peak is a 2,375 m high mountain peaks on the island Heard in Australian external territory Heard and McDonald Islands in the southern Indian Ocean .
Participants in the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions conducted surveys in 1948. They named the summit , which towers 600 m northeast of the dome, after the Australian city of Fremantle , the last port for embarkation on their research trip .
