Fremskrittspartiets Ungdom
The Fremskrittspartiets Ungdom (short FpU; nynorsk : Framstegspartiets Ungdom ; German : Youth of the Progressive Party ) is the youth organization of the Norwegian party Fremskrittspartiet (FrP). Bjørn-Kristian Svendsrud has served as its chairman since 2016 .
history
The party youth was founded in 1978 and the first chairman was Peter N. Myhre . In the so-called school elections, the FpU was able to achieve the most votes several times, for example in 2009. At the end of 2016, it had 2081 members according to its own information.
Positions
The FpU has a more liberal attitude than its parent party in many areas and wants the state to determine as little as possible. In the area of tax policy, the FpU advocates a lowering of duties and taxes, whereby the missing income is to be compensated by a reduction in state tasks.
The organization also advocates a stricter immigration policy and the expansion of the Norwegian road network and oil production. She also supports the creation of a third legal gender category.
