Frescati is an area in the district of Norra Djurgården in northeast Stockholm , where the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet , Stockholm University , the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and a large student housing area are located. The area was founded by King Gustav III. named after an Italian model.

The Bergianska trädgården (Stockholm Botanical Garden) and the Lappkärrsberget and Ekhagen area are also part of the district .

Lappkärrsberget, colloquially known as " Lappis " among Stockholm students , is the name given to the closed complex of several student dormitories in Stockholm, which is inhabited by 2000 students and university employees. It is in close proximity to Stockholm University. The curiosity is the weekly shouting out of the window, which takes place every Tuesday at 10 p.m.
