Friends of Syria
Group of Friends of the Syrian People , also Friends of a Democratic Syria or the People of Syria ( French Conférence internationale des amis de la Syrie , Turkish Suriye Halkının Dostları Grubu ), is an international contact group of states and bodies that was founded in 2012 on the occasion of the civil war in Syria was founded and is close to the Syrian National Council and its Free Syrian Army .

The education was initiated by then French President Nicolas Sarkozy in early February 2012.

The conference in Marrakech on December 12, 2012 was attended by delegates from 114 countries. Only ambassadors from 11 states were present at the 2013 conference. These states were:
