Frida Felser (born March 3, 1872 in Munich , † February 16, 1941 in Cologne ) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Felser received her training at the royal music school there and was especially a student of Professor Max Zenger . She began her stage activities in Salzburg in 1890 as an opera soubrette , came to the Stadttheater Würzburg in 1891 , to the Carl-Schultze-Theater in Hamburg in 1892 , where she remained as a singer and actress until 1895, then worked in Reichenberg (1896), Düsseldorf (1897 and 1898) and then joined the Association of the Cologne City Theater , where she has worked in the field of youthful dramatic and soubrette roles in an excellent way and must be regarded as an ornament of the opera there.

Her voice is sonorous, pleasant, well trained and touches extremely personable, her playing is effective and sharply defined. From the repertoire of this excellent singer are "Carmen", "Santuzza", "Nedda", "Page" in "Huguenots", "Leonore" in "Stradella", "Rautendelein", "Cherubin", "Rose Friquet", " Siebel "etc.
