Frida von Kronoff

Frida von Kronoff ( pseudonym for Frida Hummel ; born February 19, 1853 in Cannstatt , † November 30, 1929 in Cannstatt ) was a German writer .

Life

Frida Hummel was the daughter of a painter . Her artistic talent was already evident in her youth, and she began writing literary texts at an early age. After the death of her father in 1871, she had to forego the planned visit to an art academy. With contributions to family magazines, she contributed to the maintenance of the family; she also looked after a seriously ill sister. From 1890 she published - u. a. in the booklet series of the Konstanzer Verlag C. Hirsch - under the name Frida von Kronoff - numerous stories , fairy tales , picture books and plays for children.
