Friedel Meyer (politician)

Friedel Meyer (born April 26, 1929 in Osnabrück ; † September 6, 2007 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( FDP ).

Life and work

Meyer attended elementary school and secondary school with the completion of middle school. He then completed an apprenticeship as an electrical installer and was a self-employed master electrician from 1950. After attending the technical college for the electrical trade, he passed the master craftsman examination in 1956 .

In 1972 Meyer became a member of the FDP and was involved in numerous party committees.

From May 30, 1985 to May 31, 1995 Meyer was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list. From 1975 he was represented in the local council of the municipality of Westerkappeln .
