Michel Mettler (* May 1966 in Aarau ) is a Swiss dramaturge , musician and writer .

Life

Michel Mettler initially worked as a dramaturge and musician. From 1999 to 2001 he was artistic director of the forum: claque theater in Baden . Shorter texts have appeared in various Swiss newspapers and magazines and in anthologies . He belonged to the group of authors "Netz" founded by Perikles Monioudis in 1991 . As a dramaturge he worked with the music theater group DIE REGIERUNG, with the musician Nik Bärtsch, with Aglaja Veteranyi and Jens Nielsen as well as in various other independent theater productions.

From 2003 he was on tour with three musicians and authors who were friends as the "Four Jew's Harps". In 2006 his first novel Die Spange was published by Suhrkamp Verlag . In 2009 he published a selection of emails under the title Depeschen nach Mailland , which he had received in a lengthy exchange of emails from Jürg Laederach . Also in 2009 he published a collection of reflections on paintings in the Insel-Bücherei with Der Blick aus dem Bild . In 2010 another cooperation followed with a fellow writer, the volume "H Introduces itself", stories that Mettler wrote together with Felix Kauf.
