Friedemann Schmidt (pharmacist)
Friedemann Schmidt (born May 5, 1964 in Leipzig ) is a German pharmacist and television presenter .
Life
After graduating from high school, Friedemann Schmidt studied pharmacy in Greifswald from 1984 to 1989 and has been running his own pharmacy in Leipzig since 1990 after obtaining his license to practice medicine .
He is president of the Saxon State Chamber of Pharmacists , was vice-president from 2005 to 2012 and has been president of the Federal Association of German Pharmacists' Associations (ABDA) since January 2013 . Schmidt is a member of the advisory board of the German Medical Insurance . In December 2020 he will resign as President of the ABDA.
Since 1999 Schmidt has been a regular studio guest of the advice magazine Hauptsache Gesund of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk. By 2011, he had hosted 40 programs, mainly healthy , and he was a studio guest 120 times. From 2011 to 2012 he moderated the socio-political talk Germany acute - The Talk with Friedemann Schmidt on the German news channel N24 .
Schmidt is married and has three children.
