Frieder Grindler

Frieder Grindler (born June 3, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German graphic designer . He belongs to the Kassel poster art school .

Life

Grindler studied from 1960 to 1962 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and then (from 1962) to 1965 at the Kassel Art College .

From 1966 to 1979 he was art director at Süddeutscher Rundfunk , television department (now: SWR ). From 1964, he designed posters for the room Tübingen , later followed the orders of the State Theater in Darmstadt , the Schauspielhaus Dusseldorf , the State Theater Karlsruhe and Stuttgart State Theater . From 1979 to 2005 he was professor for communication design at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt .

Since 1976 he has been a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
