Friederike Ebli (2014)

Friederike Franziska Ebli (born July 2, 1950 in Speyer ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from 1996 to 2014 .

Education, work and family

Ebli trained to be a medical assistant from 1965 to 1968 . After completing her apprenticeship, she worked in the profession until 1988. In addition, from 1978 to 1988 she was deputy district chairman of the ÖTV trade union . She then became the city of Speyer's first full-time women's representative until 1996 .

Ebli is married and has one son.

politics

In 1978 Ebli joined the SPD and a year later was elected to the municipal councils of Hanhofen and the Verbandsgemeinde Dudenhofen . In 1984 she became a member of the district council of the Ludwigshafen district . In 1994 she was elected local mayor of Hanhofen; she held this office until 2019. From 1996 to 2014 she was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. There she represented constituency 38 (Speyer) and was chair of the committee for labor, social affairs, family and health. In 2005 Ebli was elected chairwoman of the SPD district of Speyer.

In 2011 Ebli was unanimously elected as the new chairman of the Committee for Home Affairs, Sport and Infrastructure. She resigned her mandate in December 2014. Walter Feiniler moved up for her in the state parliament.
