The Verbandsgemeinde Dudenhofen was an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional body in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . The Verbandsgemeinde belonged to three independent local communities , the administrative seat was in the eponymous community of Dudenhofen .
It was located in the Vorderpfalz and was created in 1972 as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate functional and territorial reform . On July 1, 2014, the Dudenhofen community was dissolved and the Römerberg-Dudenhofen community was re-established for the associated local communities together with the previously unaffiliated community of Römerberg .

The blazon of the coat of arms reads: “In the silver shield border divided by wavy lines, above in blue, on the right a silver cross, whose arm is elongated and drawn out into stylized curves to the right, on the left a likewise silver cross, whose arm ends in a lying crescent moon, below from Silver and blue divided, inside a lily in alternating tincture. "
The coat of arms was approved by the district government in 1983 . It contains the main elements of the coats of arms of the three local communities, the cross with the crescent moon of Hanhofen, next to it the cross of Dudenhofen and below the lily of Harthausen. The colors blue and silver refer to the Hochstift Speyer , to which all three places belonged for a long time.
