Friederike Hofmann (journalist)

Friederike Hofmann (* 1982 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German journalist .

Life

Hofmann studied economics and international management in Hamburg, Cologne and Paris and completed an internship at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) .

Hofmann works as a journalist for WDR in the Tagesschau subcontracting department in Cologne . It presents figures and analyzes of the Germany trend in the daily topics and the current hour . As a reporter, she works for Tagesschau, Tagesthemen, Morgenmagazin, Mittagsmagazin, Brisant and also makes live broadcasts for these formats. Occasionally she is also on the road as a live reporter for the service magazine Live after nine .

Hofmann is editorially responsible for the election analysis for ARD. Before that, she worked in the editor-in-chief and business editor of the WDR and temporarily looked after the press club. She has also written as a freelancer for the Kölner Stadtanzeiger and the Frankfurter Neue Presse.

Awards

Friederike Hofmann was chosen together with the journalists Marco Rösseler, Carolin Imlau, Judith Müllender, the ARD correspondent Matthias Werth and Jan Meisters for the joint TV report “ Weltspiegel Extra - Unrest in Paris . Will Macron turn things around? ” Nominated for the Grimme Prize 2019.
