Spetzgarter Tobel

The Spetzgarter Tobel area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.055) in the northwest of the city of Überlingen . It was expelled in the Republic of Baden on October 29, 1938 by the Minister of Culture, Education and Justice .

location

The approximately 12.5 hectare Spetzgarter Tobel nature reserve is part of the Lake Constance basin. It is located north of the federal highway 31 , between the Überlinger districts Goldbach in the south, Spetzgart in the northwest and Aufkirch in the east at an altitude of 490 to 520  m above sea level. NN .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation and upgrading of the erosion gorge ( gorge ) cut up to 65 meters deep by the Killbach in the " Sipplinger Molasse landscape " of the Überlingen area. Special protection applies to both the existing orchids - Buchenwald , Bach ash forest and alpine the occurrence of plant species.
