The Hüttenwiesen area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.224) in the southwest of the Baden-Württemberg municipality of Neukirch in Germany, which was designated by the ordinance of July 30, 1993 by the Tübingen regional council .

location

The approximately eight hectares large nature reserve hut meadows is one natural area to Westallgäuer hills . It is located southeast of the center of Neukirch and west of the Goppertsweiler district , at an altitude of 540  m above sea level. NN .

Protection purpose

The main purpose of protection is to maintain a richly structured ecosystem . This consists of two nutrient-poor hill spring moor areas with particularly species-rich gentian - pipe grass meadows and representatives of the Davall society (these areas are also refuges for glacial relics and many rare marsh plants of the Central European flora; for bird communities they are among the most important types of biotope and represent a retreat for many insects , including numerous day and moth species ), moist and wet meadows as food and habitat for endangered grassland birds, an orchid-rich forest clearing forest areas to complement the other habitats and grassland as buffer zones between the valuable areas and intensive agricultural areas.
