The area Hödinger Tobel is with the Ordinance of 21 October 1938 of the Baden Minister of Culture and Education (succeeded by the Regional Council Tübingen ) been instructed Nature Reserve (NSG number 4054) in the northwest of the city of Ueberlingen and in the southeast of the community Sipplingen , both for Belonging to Bodenseekreis , in Baden-Württemberg , Germany .
location
The almost 28 hectare Hödinger Tobel nature reserve is part of the Lake Constance basin . It is located around 300 meters west of the Überlinger district Hödingen at an altitude of 530 m above sea level. NN and lies to nine and a half hectares on Sipplinger and around 18 hectares on Überlingen area.
geology
Over a length of around two kilometers, the Tobelbach overcomes a gradient of around 170 meters towards Lake Constance. This deep cut with landslides , spring layers and tufa formations is the work of strong post-glacial water erosion .
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the maintenance and upgrading of the steep erosion zone in the Überlingen Molasse area .
Special protection is given to the existing orchids - beech forest and goat clover - pine forest with occurrence of alpine plant species.
Flora and fauna
From the flora worthy of protection , the following plant species (selection) are to be named:
- the perennial silver leaf ( Lunaria rediviva ) a species in the cruciferous family
- the blue fescue ( Festuca cinerea ), a plant of the family Gramineae
- the blood Red cranesbill ( Geranium sanguineum ), a plant belonging to the family of geraniaceae
- the liverwort ( Hepatica nobilis ), a species of the genus of the same name within the buttercup family
- the red forest bird ( Cephalanthera rubra ), species in the orchid family
- the Turk's Union ( Lilium martagon ), a species of the lily family
