Friederike von Kimsky

Friederike von Kimsky (born January 18, 1792 as Friederike Hähnel in Neubrandenburg , † December 22, 1872 in Rome ) was a lover of State Chancellor Karl August von Hardenberg .

She met Hardenberg in 1816 through the mediation of David Ferdinand Koreff in a magnetic session with Karl Christian Wolfart . The marriage arranged by Hardenberg with a Mr. von Kimsky took place on August 3, 1821 in Neuhardenberg . After Hardenberg's death, she converted to Catholicism and lived in Rome, where she allegedly had close ties with Pope Gregory XVI. and the general of the Jesuits, Pierre Jean Beckx .
