Friedhard Grote

Friedhard Friedrich August Grote , also known as Friedhard Grote , called Charly (* July 8, 1933 , † May 26, 2008 in Russia ) was a German local politician .

Life

Born in 1933, Grote was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), volunteered from 1974 to 1981, initially in the city council of Hanover, and from 1981 to 1996 in the district council of the Linden-Limmer district .

In addition, Grote headed the Limmerscher Vereine working group from 1995 to 2003, which last made him an honorary member .

Friedhard Grote was a member of the Education and Science Union (GEW) and one of the founding members of the Fössebad association . He was married to the social democratic district mayor Hiltrud Grote (1936-2010).

Charly's bridge

For many years Friedhard Grote also campaigned for the construction of the Charlys Bridge , posthumously named after him , which today connects the Hanoverian district of Limmer via the freight bypass with the district of Davenstedt along the Holzrehre street .
