Bad Ischl cemetery
The cemetery Bad Ischl has to offer, Reiterndorf in Bad Ischl at the Graz road. The cemetery is operated by the Bad Ischl parish and is a listed building.
history
Originally the cemetery was located at the parish church of St. Nikolaus, it was moved to the Sebastian chapel in 1719. In 1948 the wall between the Catholic and Protestant sections was torn down. Between 1960 and 1965, 60 new crypts were created. In the Bad Ischl cemetery there are numerous graves and tombs of prominent personalities. Hilde Spiel described the cemetery as "the most beautiful in the world".
