Jonava cemetery
The cemetery Jonava (lit. Jonavos kapines nor cemetery Šmatai ) is a new cemetery the city of Jonava , on the road KK144 , Jonava- Šeduva (in Šmatai , District Kulva , jonava district municipality ). On June 14, 1992 a chapel was consecrated. The Jonava Chapel for Deportees was built on the initiative of the Lithuanian Union of Political Prisoners and Deportees . Architects were Vytautas Juraška and Lina Preišiogalavičienė. Authors of some monuments are the sculptor Remigijus Šležas (sculpture “Angel”, Italian marble , height 80 cm, 2004), wood sculptor Janina Listvina-Baltrimavičiūtė (2 wooden crosses, 1995) and others.
