Friedrich Anton von Venningen

Friedrich Anton von Venningen (born October 13, 1765 , † May 7, 1832 ) was a senior bailiff in Kreuznach, royal Bavarian chamberlain and privy councilor, Lord of Grombach and director of the Mannheim theater .

Life

He was a son of Carl Philipp von Venningen (1728–1797) and followed this as senior bailiff in Kreuznach . He married Maria Anna Kämmerer von Worms Freiin von Dalberg (1778-1852). In 1803 he took over the management of the Mannheim theater from their father Wolfgang Heribert von Dalberg . As director he maintained a. a. Correspondence with Carl Maria von Weber . Because he took part in the agitation for a promised Baden constitution, he was removed from his office in 1816. He then moved the center of his life to Munich.

He was the founder of the younger Grombach line of the Barons of Venningen, which still exists today .
