Friedrich Carl Siemens

Friedrich Carl Siemens (born January 6, 1877 ; † June 25, 1952 ) was a German entrepreneur .

His parents were Friedrich Siemens and Elise Witthauer. He was married to Bertha Countess Yorck von Wartenburg (1899–1950), daughter of Count Heinrich Yorck von Wartenburg , and had four children.

When his great-nephew Hermann von Siemens was interned, he served temporarily as chairman of the supervisory boards of Siemens & Halske AG and Siemens-Schuckertwerke AG from 1946 to 1948 .

Friedrich Carl Siemens collected various works of art and paintings. In the 1990s, the Pushkin Museum and the Historical Museum in Moscow, as well as the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, began extracting looted art from the secret camps and showing them publicly in exhibitions. In 1995 the Hermitage showed French paintings from the 19th century, among others from the collection of Friedrich Carl Siemens.
