Friedrich Gallenkamp

Friedrich Conrad Wilhelm Gallenkamp (born September 23, 1818 in Lippstadt ; † April 1, 1890 in Berlin ) was a Reich judge and judge at the Reich Higher Commercial Court .

Life

Gallenkamp was a graduate of the Essen Prussian Royal High School . He studied law in Bonn and became a member of the Corps Saxonia Bonn in 1836 . His swearing-in on the Prussian sovereign took place in 1838. In 1842 he was appointed higher regional court assessor. In 1845 he exchanged his position in Paderborn for one in Arnstadt. In 1850 he was appointed district judge in Hamm and he was then assigned to the Justice Senate in Ehrenbreitenstein as an assistant judge. In 1854 or 1857 he was appointed judge of appeal in Koblenz. In 1867 he became a councilor at the Higher Appeal Court in Berlin. In 1870 he came to the Reich Higher Commercial Court. In 1872 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Leipzig. In 1879 he joined the Second Civil Senate of the Imperial Courtover. A year later he moved to the First Senate . He retired on New Year's Day 1889. The lawyer Hugo Gallenkamp was his son.
