Friedrich Greissendorf

August Ferdinand Friedrich Grußendorf (born September 5, 1871 in Soßmar , † November 30, 1958 in Osnabrück ) was pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Regional Church of Hanover .

Friedrich Grußendorf was the fourth pastor at St. Marien in Osnabrück from 1906 to 1939 . At the time of National Socialism he carried out denominational services , wrote articles against National Socialism and was a well-known confessional pastor.

The following quotation in the collection of texts "Strong errors" published in 1936 is an example of his fight against National Socialism:

So we defend ourselves here against the incessant and often unheard-of, erroneous assertions, perversions, attacks and slander with which one assaults from all sides against the Church, Christianity and the Bible, and even against the honor of our Savior himself. ... It is supposed to encourage others: Defend yourself too! "
