Friedrich Hartmann von Witzleben

Friedrich Hartmann von Witzleben (born November 3, 1722 in Gotha ; † October 3, 1788 ) was a Privy Councilor and Oberhofmarschall in Weimar as well as the owner of the Martinroda and Elgersburg manors .

Life

He came from the Thuringian Uradelsgeschlecht von Witzleben , was the son of Hartmann von Witzleben and was initially Saxony-gothaischer Gentleman , 1751 Chamberlain , 1753 Saxony-Weimar shear Vice equerry and upper Schenk , 1757 Saxony-Weimar shear equerry, Privy Councilor , Lord Chamberlain and Head of all court offices. He was also a knight of the Order of St. John and knight of the Saxon-Weimar-Eisenach house order of the White Falcon .

Since his marriage to Martha Eleonore von Oppel (* May 2, 1726; † 1801), daughter of the Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg Chancellor , Chamber President and Chief Tax Director Siegmund Ehrenfried von Oppel (1687–1757), had no children, fell from his 1751 marriage his property to his nephews.
