Friedrich III. (Brandenburg-Ansbach)
Friedrich III. von Brandenburg-Ansbach (born May 1, 1616 in Ansbach ; † September 6, 1634 near Nördlingen ) was Margrave of the Franconian Principality of Ansbach from 1625 to 1634.
Life
Friedrich was the eldest son of Margrave Joachim Ernst von Brandenburg-Ansbach and his wife, Countess Sophie von Solms-Laubach . When he succeeded his father in the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach after the early death of his father in 1625, he was still a minor. Guardianship and government affairs were therefore initially led by his mother. Having come of age in 1634, he fell in the same year on the Swedish side in the battle of Nördlingen . He was unmarried and without descendants, so his brother Albrecht took over his inheritance .
