Friedrich Julius Kühns

Friedrich Julius Kühns (born April 12, 1830 in Berlin ; † March 12, 1869 Berlin) was a German lawyer .

Life

After classical education at the Joachimsthaler Gymnasium , study of law at the University of Berlin and doctorate , he decided to pursue an academic career. In 1858 he completed his habilitation as a private lecturer at Berlin University and was appointed associate professor in 1868. He was particularly interested in questions of copyright law , on which he published several works and for which he was involved in the drafting of legal templates. He died at the age of 38 without being able to experience his desire for a general German law on copyright to be passed. He found his final resting place after being reburied in the south-west cemetery in Stahnsdorf .
