Friedrich Kasimir Kitz

Friedrich Kasimir Kitz (* 1764 in Brilon ; † 1834 ) was a German physician and scientist .

Kitz studied medicine in Göttingen and received his doctorate there in 1787. In 1788 he went on a scientific excursion to Vienna . On this occasion he met the Viennese astronomer Maximilian Hell . After his return to Brilon he was appointed general practitioner on July 22, 1789, from November 6, 1790 he was court medicus to the Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont in Arolsen and then returned to Brilon. On February 1, 1792 he became an honorary member of the Physikalische Privat-Gesellschaft zu Göttingen from 1789.

Kitz was the owner of the Sauvigny house in Brilon , which was built by his father, the master builder Johann Matthias Kitz . He left two daughters.
