Friedrich Kraft (pastor)
Friedrich Kraft (* 1904 , † 1970 ) was a German pastor and member of the Confessing Church .
Friedrich Kraft was pastor of the Baden regional church and head of the Protestant children's home at Schloss Beuggen during the Nazi era . At the same time he was the first pastor of the Johannesgemeinde Rheinfelden (Baden) .
He was inducted into office on November 17, 1937. He and his wife Anne ran the former castle of the Teutonic Order as a home for normal children and a substitute for raising families . During the time of the Third Reich, this was a meeting place for Protestant youth, as well as women and men. From 1946 to 1953 the training for Protestant religion teachers took place here.
After the death of Friedrich Kraft, the children's home was briefly continued by his wife and daughters, from 1971 to 1977 by his son-in-law Otto Kollmar and his wife, and from 1977 by Pastor Dieter Katz. In 1981 the Beuggen children's home was closed.
In Karsau-Beuggen, a district of Rheinfelden, a street is named after him. A building at Beuggen Castle bears his name.
