Friedrich Pohlmann

Friedrich Pohlmann (born March 5, 1950 in Bielefeld ) is a German sociologist .

Life

Pohlmann was born in 1950 as the son of the graduate engineer Kurt Pohlmann and his wife Margarete, b. Sattler was born in Bielefeld and grew up in Wilhelmshaven . After graduating from high school at the modern and old-language Humboldt-Gymnasium Wilhelmshaven, Pohlmann first studied music at the music academies in Hanover and Freiburg, and from 1970 onwards, majoring in sociology and history at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , where he completed his master's degree in 1975. In 1979 he was in Freiburg with Heinrich Popitz with the dissertation The socio-philosophical work Georg Simmel and his intellectual history environment for Dr. phil. PhD. In 1990 he also completed his habilitation in Freiburg on the subject of ideology and terror under National Socialism . Pohlmann then worked as a private lecturer at the Freiburg Institute for Sociology.
